Chapter 24: Adjusting

A few weeks had past and you were finding it hard to adjust to Stark Tower. You had felt depressed ever since you were told that Loki was being taken to be killed. Your day now consisted of moping around the tower and trying to stop your boredom with a computer, that Tony had let you borrow.

Today you felt a little upbeat compared to how you usually felt. You weren't moping around, you were actually interacting with anyone who came in the tower. You were currently sitting in a movie screening room with Natasha, Clint, and Steve.

You were sitting by Natasha, Clint on the other side of you and Steve beside him. You were watching 'Wreck-It-Ralph' because Steve insisted on seeing it. You enjoyed company you had now because usually Tony was off doing something by himself. When the movie finished you felt a little tired.

"Hey, (Name), we're going to get something to eat. Want to come with us?" Natasha asked as she stood up. You shook your head.

"Pretty tired, think I'm just gonna head off to bed." She nodded and left with the boys. You waited until they were gone before heading off to your room. Once there you laid down in your bed and stared at the ceiling.

You lifted your hand into the air and focused. A ball of electricity had come out and was zapping around on your hand. You then made the electricity take the form of tiny figures. The two figures dance around the room, following the orders of your fingers.

You groaned and made the figures disappear. You got off your bed and went to your window. Recently it had been pretty cold outside, it was cold enough to leave frost on your window. You stared out the window and looked over the city.

It was a great sight, really it was, but you missed your home. You wondered if your parents missed you or wondered where you were. You then remembered that your parents were on a business trip in Germany. You sighed and rested your head on the window.

You looked down and saw a small frost drawing of a creature, resembling what you believed was a frost giant, and a little girl. You looked closer and realized that the two looked a lot like-

"Miss (Last Name), master Stark has requested that you have a meal before heading to bed." A computer generated voice rang through your room. You sighed and looked away from the window.

"Tell him that I'll be there in a minute JARVIS." You told the computer.

"Right away, ma'am."

You looked back towards you window and saw that the drawing had been scribbled out. You smiled and stood up. You weren't sure how the drawing was there, but just seeing it made you smile. You walked out of the room, ready to eat. Maybe it wouldn't be so hard to adjust here.
