Chapter 14: Time Change

Your time on Alfheim seemed to go by faster than you originally thought. It had maybe been a month since you got here. Today you were helping Halle make some kind of cake. She didn't explain why, she just said she felt like it. So here you were mixing the weird ingredients that Alfheim had in a bowl.

"Just add that over there and then we can pour out batter into a pan." Halle told you. She was pointing at some weird bottle that was filled with a green liquid. You handed it to her and she add it to the batter.

You watched her stir and put it into a pan for the oven, or what you assumed was the oven. She told you that she would do the dishes and you were free to do whatever you'd like. You went to the room from the other day.

Ever since you found the room you returned everyday. You would sit there and just think about things for a while. Sometimes you'd play the piano, or at least try. When you got there you sat down on the piano's bench and stared at the picture of Liv's granddaughter.

You were determined to give her an English name, since she didn't have one. You just didn't know what would be perfect for her. Her green eyes seemed to watch you every time you looked at her. What would be perfect? Her eyes kind of reminded you of Loki, not only because they were green, but because they seemed to be full of mischief.

You snapped your fingers and looked at the painting. "I got it. Victoria. You like that?" You stared at the painting and remembered that it couldn't respond. "Well, from now on your name is Victoria."

You looked from the painting of Victoria and looked at the piano. You had accidentally pressed the keys. You brought your fingers back up and pressed against the keys lightly. You didn't know how to actually play, but you made up random orders a lot.

You felt a little hyper-active today and since you rarely had anything to do here, you were bored. You stood up and began to walk to your room. Once there you went to grab your phone. You put the headphones, that were constantly thrown around in your room, in your back pocket. The phone still said it was charging, but you had gotten used to that.

You unlocked the device and clicked on a game. You had already complete most of the useless app games that you had. Well that's what you get from boredom. You sat on your bed and pounded on the screen. You were determined to win this time.

"(Name)!" You heard Halle call. "The cake is ready!"

You exited out of the game and shoved your phone into your pocket. You were happy that today you were wearing your own clothes. The (second f/c) tanktop stuck to your body nicely, the (f/c) jacket was unzipped, and your blue jeans felt the same as ever. In other words it kind of felt like being back on Earth.

You finally made it to the kitchen and was greeted by the smell of deliciousness. Halle was already cutting the cake. You saw that she already had one piece on a plate. She turned and nodded to the plate, which you assumed she meant 'this is yours'. You happily trotted over and picked the plate up.

You and Halle went into the dining room to sit down. Today Liv was visiting some distant family in another town. So it was just you, Halle, and Loki. As for Loki, well he hadn't been out of his room all day.

You bit into the cake and felt your taste buds explode, well not literally. The cake tasted like chocolate with some kind of fruit. You quickly devoured it all and waited for Halle to finish. She took your plate and went to the kitchen.

You sat back in your chair and rubbed your stomach. That felt good. You then felt like you were being watched. You turned and saw Loki standing in the doorway. He looked a little nervous. He walked towards you and looked down at you.

"(Name), I have to tell you something important." He announced.

"Well what is it?" You asked.

       "I don't know how you'll react..."

"And?"

"It's about the real reason I brought you here."

"I thought you brought me here because 'I'm special'."

"Yes, well about that, it sort of has something to do with what you are."

"Uh...."
