Chapter 5: One Mission

Fury and Agent Romanoff sat in the interrogation room in the SHIELD helicarrier. Across the table from them sat 18 year old Annabel Way. Her hands were cuffed for safety measures.

"So Miss Way, your records have shown us that you had a very bad habit of stealing when you were 15." Fury says while looking into her eyes.

The girl nods her head and looks away. She didn't like it here. They have been questioning her for a good 12 hours. They were asking the same questions over and over again. She just wanted to go home.

"Why don't you tell us what you have stolen." Romanoff commanded. The girl looked at the Agent before sighing.

"When I was fifteen I stole a lot of things. I stole alcohol, cigarettes, electronics, money, what do you expect me to say?" Annabel was getting very tired.

"Someone once reported a girl matching you almost exactly doing some strange things. Care to elaborate?" Romanoff was determined to get something out of Annabel, she just didn't know what.

"I have no idea what you are talking about, Romanoff." Annabel grunted.

"Enough questions." Fury said, surprising both women. He looked at Annabel before dismissing Romanoff.

"Look kid, your best friend was kidnapped by a god. We don't know the reason behind this, but we do know that you are a very secretive and cunning person. We could use that to help track Loki down. If you decide to help you could save your best friend." Fury didn't even blink as he said this.

The girl's eyes widened in surprise. Fury was asking her to join SHIELD to find (Y/n)? A smirk made its way onto her face. She looked up at him and nodded her head.

"Anything to help my dear friend." She murmured.

~Agent Romanoff and Agent Barton~

Natasha sat down in a room full of computers. Clint was sitting next to her. He looked up when she sat down.

"Bad interrogation with that kid?" Clint asked her. Natasha nodded and flicked on the laptop in front of her.

"She's hiding something from us. I can tell." She grunted.

"How can you tell?" Clint questioned her.

"I'm Russian, I can tell when someone's lying to me."

"Maybe you're just sensing worry." Clint laughed as he turned back to his screen.

On his screen it showed security footage from three years ago. It was a 7-Eleven Gas station around three in the morning. A girl with brown hair walked into the store. You wouldn't be able to tell her eye color from the angle of the screen, but if you were in SHIELD you knew this was the now infamous Annabel Way.

The girl looked around and grabbed a pop and what looked like a CD. She looked around slowly before putting them inside her coat and zipping the zipper. Just then what looked like the manager came up behind her.

The girl turned around just as he was about to put his hand on her shoulder. She grabbed his arm and said something. The man stopped everything he was doing and just stood there. The girl walked out of the store while the manager just stood in the aisle where she left him.

"Wait did you see that?" Natasha asked. "Go back Clint!"

Clint rewinded the video to the point where the girl put her hand on the manager's arm.

"Zoom in and enhance the video!" Natasha commanded. Clint looked at her before doing so. The girl was obviously Annabel Way trying to steal some pop and a CD. When the video was done enhancing, however, one could tell that something was off about the situation.

"We need more footage of Miss Way." Natasha said into her ear piece.

"You're thinking the same thing I'm thinking?" Clint asked his comrade. She nodded in response.

"If I'm correct, I know what happened during the three years of Miss Way and Miss (Last Name)'s friendship." She said confidently.

~Annabel Way~

"Miss Way, this is where you will be staying." A young male agent said.

"You can call me Annabel, I don't know why everyone only calls me Miss Way." Annabel said slightly irritated.

"It was a command by Director Fury that we can only refer to you as Miss Way." The agent said before leaving.

"Great." Annabel said as she sat down on her new bed. She looked at the wall in front of her. She glared at it hoping it would burn. Her thought began to wonder back to you.

"I wonder how (Y/n) is doing." Was all she said before lying down and falling asleep.

~You and Loki~

You woke up with a slight headache. This headache didn't hurt as bad as the one you woke up to yesterday though. You suddenly noticed how cold you were. Looking around you gasped.

Everything was covered in snow and ice. You shivered and wrapped your arms around yourself. You felt something being put on you. You turned to see Loki standing above you without his coat.

"Welcome to Jotunheim." He said with a smirk of mischief.
